BOOST Products DCV800 Oil Catch Can 0.8L w/ -12 AN Ports - Single Can

If your engine has multiple valve-cover or crankcase breather lines, the BOOST Products DCV800 gives you enough ports and capacity to build the system the way you want it. The 0.8-liter can has four -12 AN inlets and two -12 AN outlets, so you are not trying to route everything through a small two-port catch can.

Inside the can, a baffle plate and stainless-steel wool help separate oil from the crankcase vapor before it reaches the outlet side. The collected oil stays in the tank instead of getting pulled back through the intake, turbo inlet or intercooler piping.

Single Can Version

This listing is for the DCV800 catch can by itself. It is the right option when you already know how you want to plumb the system and would rather choose every fitting, plug and vent connection separately.

The CC-OIL-01 single-can version does not include -12 AN port plugs, the 1/8-inch NPT drain plug, an atmospheric vent trumpet, hoses, hose ends, a mounting bracket or mounting hardware.

Open or Closed Catch Can Setup

The DCV800 can be used in a closed system that routes the cleaned crankcase vapor back into the intake, or it can be set up to vent to atmosphere. A closed setup is normally the better choice for a street car because it keeps the crankcase system sealed and avoids the smell that can come from an open breather system.

A vent-to-atmosphere setup is more common on dedicated track and drag builds. Check the rules for your area and racing organization before deciding how to route the outlets.

Installation Notes

• Mount the can upright where the dipstick and drain can still be reached
• Keep the catch can away from exhaust heat and moving engine components
• Use properly sized -12 AN hose and fittings throughout the system
• Cap every unused inlet or outlet with the correct plug
• Do not reduce the breather lines without confirming the engine's crankcase ventilation requirements
• Check and empty the catch can regularly, especially in cold weather or after track use
• Clean the internal baffle and stainless-steel wool as part of normal catch can service
