Fitment Notes

• This kit replaces the control hardware for an existing vacuum-operated exhaust valve system.
• It does not include an exhaust valve, muffler or complete exhaust system.
• It is not intended for Valvetronic systems that use electronic valve motors.

Product Description

If the exhaust valves and actuators are still in place but the pump, controller or remote is damaged, this kit replaces the control side of the system. It is also useful when buying a used Valvetronic exhaust that is missing the original vacuum hardware.

The control box makes its own vacuum, so it does not depend on the engine producing enough manifold vacuum to move the valves. Plug the box into a 12V outlet, connect the supplied tubing and use the key fob to switch the compatible exhaust valves between their open and closed positions.

This kit does not change the exhaust sound by itself. The difference between the open and closed settings depends on the muffler and valve arrangement already installed on the vehicle.

Installation Notes

• Install the control box in a protected location inside the vehicle.
• Connect the supplied adapter to a functioning 12V outlet.
• Route the vacuum tubing away from exhaust heat, sharp edges and moving components.
• Check all vacuum connections for leaks before securing the tubing.
• Test the valves in both positions before finishing the installation.
• Valvetronic does not offer a plug-and-play wired switch for this controller.

Emissions Information

• This is control hardware only and does not replace catalytic converters or other emissions equipment.
• Always follow local regulations regarding adjustable or bypass-style exhaust systems.

Warranty

• Electronic remotes are covered by Valvetronic Designs' one-year limited warranty.
• Electronics, including the 12V vacuum pump, RF module and controller, are covered by a one-year limited warranty.
• Coverage begins on the purchase date and applies to the original purchaser.
• Warranty coverage is not transferable.

Before You Buy

• Confirm that your exhaust uses vacuum-actuated valves rather than electronic valve motors.
• This is the control kit only. Exhaust valves and muffler components are not included.
• The kit includes one wireless key fob.
• Check for loose vacuum lines, damaged tubing, a dead remote battery or a faulty 12V outlet before replacing the complete control kit.
• A hardwired switch is not offered as a plug-and-play option.

• Valvetronic Blackbear Valved Exhaust for Jeep Wrangler JL and JLU: The Blackbear uses pneumatic exhaust valves and includes vacuum-control hardware. This replacement kit makes sense if that original controller, pump or tubing has been damaged or lost.
• Valvetronic Valved Exhaust for BMW E90, E92 and E93 M3: The V2 E9X M3 exhaust uses vacuum-actuated valves. Check the part number and connections on your existing controller before ordering this kit as a replacement.
• Valvetronic Valved Exhaust for BMW E46 M3: This rear section also uses pneumatic valves. The control kit is relevant when the exhaust itself is still usable but its original vacuum-control hardware needs to be replaced.
