Fitment Note

The SRK-179H is the vehicle-specific hub that mounts between the steering column and a compatible NRG lockable quick release. It is not compatible with NRG Thin Quick Release or Quick Tilt systems.

Product Description

The NRG SRK-179H short hub is the starting point for adding a compatible NRG quick release and six-bolt aftermarket steering wheel to a 1990-2004 Ford Mustang. Its compact design keeps the wheel closer to the column than a standard-length hub, making it a clean choice for Fox Body and SN95 builds that are being set up for track or off-road use.

It is machined from anodized 6061 aluminum and uses the common 6x70mm bolt pattern. The SRK-179H is designed to retain the horn and turn-signal electrical functions in most applications, while disabling the factory turn-signal self-cancel feature. Resistors are included, but this hub replaces the factory steering-wheel setup and is intended for off-road and track use only.
