Granatelli Electric Exhaust Cutout Kit 2.25" / 2.5" / 3" Stainless Slip-Fit - Single or Dual

If you want the car to run through the mufflers most of the time but get loud when you feel like opening up the exhaust, this Granatelli electric cutout gives you both from one rocker switch. Close the valve and the exhaust follows its normal path. Open it and the exhaust exits through the stainless turndown ahead of the mufflers for a much louder and more direct exhaust sound.

The Smart-Chip rocker switch opens or closes the valve with one touch and stops the motor automatically. You don't have to hold the switch down and risk driving the gears against the stop. Choose the size that matches your exhaust tubing, then select a single kit for one exhaust pipe or a dual kit for a true dual exhaust.

Emissions & Street Use

• Install the cutout after the factory catalytic converters and oxygen sensors.
• When properly installed downstream, this kit does not remove or replace the factory catalytic converters or oxygen sensors.
• Granatelli states that no ECU calibration or tune is required when the cutout is installed after the catalytic converters.
• Never install the cutout upstream of a catalytic converter or oxygen sensor.
• An open exhaust cutout can exceed local exhaust-noise limits. Check your state and local laws before using it on public roads.  Not designed to be used on any public road.  Race track use only.
• Does not ship to California.

Before You Buy

• Measure the outside diameter of your exhaust pipe. A 3-inch pipe needs the 3-inch cutout.
• The wireless remote is optional and is not included with these kits. Standard operation is through the included rocker switch.
• Granatelli recommends mounting the electric gate at least 18 inches from the header collectors and after all factory emissions equipment.
• Position the turndown so hot exhaust is directed away from fuel lines, brake lines, wiring, the driveshaft, suspension bushings and the floor of the vehicle.
• Professional exhaust installation is recommended if you are not comfortable cutting and clamping exhaust tubing.

• Vibrant 2.5" Bottle Style Resonator - If the normal closed exhaust path still has too much rasp or drone, this 18-inch resonator can help smooth out the sound on a 2.5-inch system.
• Vibrant 3" Bottle Style Resonator - A straight-through resonator for a custom 3-inch exhaust that needs less rasp and a smoother exhaust note when the cutout is closed.
