Move more air through your radiator, oil cooler or intercooler with this brushless motorsport fan from BOOST Products. It is available in 10-inch and 12-inch sizes, with built-in PWM speed control that lets a compatible PDM or controller vary the fan speed based on how much cooling the car actually needs.
The brushless motor uses less current than many comparable brushed fans and has a soft-start function that keeps it from hitting the electrical system with a large current spike every time it turns on. The slim puller design also makes it easier to fit behind a radiator when space between the engine and cooling system is tight.

The PWM input can be controlled by a compatible PDM, ECU output or standalone fan controller. The control system must be configured for the required frequency, voltage levels and duty-cycle range.
Choosing the Correct Size
The 10-inch fan is the better choice when mounting space is limited or when adding airflow to a smaller oil cooler, intercooler or compact radiator. The 12-inch fan provides more airflow and is a better option when the cooler has enough surface area and room for the larger housing.
Measure the complete mounting area instead of selecting the fan by blade diameter alone. Leave clearance for the motor housing, mounting tabs, hoses, engine movement and any surrounding belts or pulleys.
Installation Notes
- This is a puller fan and should normally be mounted behind the radiator or cooler.
- Custom brackets, a fan shroud or fabricated mounting points may be required.
- Use wiring and circuit protection rated for the selected fan's current draw.
- Do not mount the fan directly through a radiator core unless the cooler manufacturer approves that mounting method.
- Check clearance with the engine running and under load, since the engine can move on its mounts.
- A properly designed shroud will help the fan pull air through more of the radiator or cooler surface.
- Test the PWM operation and fail-safe mode before driving the vehicle.
