See the actual ethanol percentage in your fuel without adding another gauge to the dash. The Advanced Fuel Dynamics FlexLink sends ethanol-content and fuel-temperature data to the ProFlex Connect app on your iPhone or Android device.
FlexLink works with compatible GM/Continental ethanol-content sensors and updates the reading every 30 milliseconds. It also provides a wired 5V output for compatible standalone ECUs and data-logging systems.
Fitment Information
- Compatible with GM/Continental ethanol-content sensors
- Available with GM LT, GM LS or All Others wiring harness options
- Works with compatible gasoline and E85 fuel systems
- Supports Apple iOS and Android devices through the ProFlex Connect app
Fitment Note
This is not a vehicle-specific flex-fuel conversion kit. Confirm that the selected wiring harness works with your ethanol sensor, ECU and fuel-system configuration.
Sensor Options
- No, I Already Have Sensor: Select this option if your vehicle already has a compatible GM/Continental ethanol-content sensor.
- Include Sensor Kit: Adds the ethanol-content sensor needed to measure the gasoline and ethanol mixture in the fuel line.
Wiring Harness Options
- GM LT
- GM LS
- All Others
Select the harness that matches your engine management and sensor setup. The All Others option does not mean the part will automatically work with every vehicle or ECU.
Features
- Displays real-time ethanol content through the ProFlex Connect app
- Displays fuel-temperature information with a compatible sensor
- Bluetooth connection for Apple iOS and Android devices
- 30-millisecond data updates
- Wired 5V output for compatible standalone ECUs and data loggers
- Compatible with GM/Continental ethanol-content sensors
- Billet aluminum module housing
- Keeps the interior clean without adding a permanent ethanol gauge
How FlexLink Works
The ethanol-content sensor measures the mixture of gasoline and ethanol moving through the fuel system. FlexLink receives that information and sends it wirelessly to the ProFlex Connect app, letting you check the ethanol percentage and fuel temperature from your phone.
The wired 5V output can also send sensor information to a compatible ECU or data logger. Your ECU and tune must be properly configured if you want the vehicle to use that signal to adjust its flex-fuel tables.
What FlexLink Does Not Do
FlexLink does not adjust injector operation, change ignition timing or make a vehicle flex-fuel by itself. It is an ethanol gauge and communication module. A compatible ethanol sensor, ECU or flex-fuel controller and the proper calibration are still required if you want the engine to automatically adjust for different ethanol blends.
Emissions Information
The FlexLink does not remove or replace emissions equipment. It displays ethanol content and fuel temperature and can provide a data signal to a compatible ECU or data logger. It does not change fuel delivery or alter the vehicle’s tune by itself.
Advanced Fuel Dynamics does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for the FlexLink. Emissions compliance will depend on the vehicle, fuel-system configuration and ECU calibration.
Watch the Video
Here is a video from Advanced Fuel Dynamics showing E85 performance and how its flex-fuel system works.
Before You Buy
- Choose whether you need the ethanol sensor included.
- Select the GM LT, GM LS or All Others wiring harness.
- Confirm that your sensor, ECU and data logger support the FlexLink signal.
- A properly configured ECU or flex-fuel controller is required if you want the engine to adjust for changing ethanol content.
- The ProFlex Connect app is required for wireless ethanol readings on your phone.
Pairs Well With
- Advanced Fuel Dynamics E-SENSE High-Flow Ethanol Content Sensor – Pair FlexLink with the E-SENSE when you need ethanol-content and fuel-temperature monitoring without putting a restrictive factory-style sensor in a high-flow fuel system.
- Advanced Fuel Dynamics ProFlex Commander Kits – A vehicle-specific ProFlex Commander can use ethanol-content data to adjust injector operation as the mixture of gasoline and E85 changes.
About Advanced Fuel Dynamics
Advanced Fuel Dynamics developed its flex-fuel products after finding that the actual ethanol content in pump E85 can change from one fill-up to another. Its systems measure the fuel that is actually in the car instead of assuming every tank has the same ethanol percentage.
AFD develops its ProFlex Commander systems, FlexLink modules and E-SENSE sensors in Salado, Texas.
