Measure ethanol content without putting a restrictive factory-style sensor in the middle of a high-flow fuel system.
The Advanced Fuel Dynamics E-SENSE is a billet E85 flex fuel content sensor built for modified and high-horsepower fuel systems. AFD rates it for up to 12 times the fuel flow of a conventional GM/Continental sensor, so it can be installed directly in the main fuel line without building a separate bypass around the sensor.
It measures ethanol content and fuel temperature, then sends that information to a compatible ECU, flex-fuel controller or data-logging system. The modular design also lets you match the sensor to anything from an OE-style quick-connect fuel line to a -12AN system.

Fitment Note
This is the ethanol-content sensor, not a complete vehicle-specific flex-fuel kit. Your ECU, flex-fuel controller or data-logging system must support the sensor's output, and the vehicle will need the proper flex-fuel calibration before it can automatically adjust for different ethanol blends.

How the E-SENSE Works
The E-SENSE measures the actual percentage of ethanol passing through the fuel line. It sends that information to a compatible ECU or controller, which can then adjust the vehicle's flex-fuel tables for the mixture currently in the tank.
The separate analog output can also be used for ethanol-content and fuel-temperature data logging. Add the AFD FlexLink module if you want to see that information wirelessly through the ProFlex Connect app.
Emissions Information
The E-SENSE does not remove or replace emissions equipment. It measures ethanol content and fuel temperature, then sends that information to a compatible ECU, controller or data-logging system. The sensor does not change fuel delivery or make a vehicle flex-fuel by itself.
Advanced Fuel Dynamics does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for this sensor. Emissions compliance will depend on the vehicle, fuel-system configuration and ECU calibration.

Before You Buy
- Confirm that your ECU, controller or data logger supports the 50–150 Hz or 0–5V sensor output.
- Choose the inlet and outlet fittings that match your fuel-line size.
- The sensor does not include a vehicle-specific flex-fuel tune.
- A compatible ECU calibration or flex-fuel controller is required to adjust fueling for different ethanol percentages.
- The FlexLink wireless communication module is sold separately.
