Sound
The factory BRZ, GR86 and FR-S exhaust is pretty quiet, even when you run the car through the gears. Opening the SHUTO valves makes the boxer engine much easier to hear and gives it a deeper, more aggressive sound throughout the RPM range.
Closing the valves cuts the sound back when you do not want the exhaust to be as loud. That makes the SHUTO a good setup for a car that sees daily driving during the week but still gets driven hard on weekends.
Installation
The SHUTO replaces the factory catback exhaust. Installation also includes mounting the valve controller, connecting power and routing the wiring for the electronic exhaust valves. The wireless remotes are paired with the controller so you can open or close the valves from inside the car.
