Product Description
A turbo blanket, also called a turbo heat shield or turbo nappy, wraps the hot-side exhaust housing of the turbocharger. By keeping more heat at the turbine housing, it helps limit the heat that reaches nearby wiring, hoses, intake components, brake components, and body panels.
This BOOST Products blanket is available in three common turbine-housing size ranges. It is a practical upgrade for a turbo build where engine-bay temperature management matters, whether the goal is protecting nearby components or cleaning up a custom installation.
The product name is Titanium, but BOOST Products lists basalt, ceramic, and silicate as the blanket materials. That is the material information I would keep on the page rather than calling the blanket solid titanium construction.
Before You Buy
Choose the blanket based on the turbine housing, then verify clearance around the wastegate actuator, downpipe, oil and coolant lines, compressor housing, and any nearby wiring. Inspect the blanket regularly after the first heat cycles and make sure it cannot contact moving parts. A turbo blanket is not a substitute for properly routing and protecting heat-sensitive lines.
