Product Description
The original STILLEN TruControl V1 made a simple idea work extremely well: plug into the factory harness, select your preferred calibration, and let the module sharpen the engine's performance without complicated installation. Designed for the 2020-2024 Kia K5 1.6T, V1 can deliver a serious jump in power and torque while giving you multiple maps to match the way you drive. STILLEN's dyno testing showed up to 212 WHP and 235 lb-ft of wheel torque compared with 168 WHP and 184 lb-ft stock, although actual results will vary by vehicle and conditions. For drivers who want an affordable, easy-to-install throttle and boost performance upgrade, V1 keeps things refreshingly simple.
TruControl V2 takes that proven formula and pushes it further. Designed for the 2021-2026 Kia K5 2.5T, V2 was completely re-engineered with upgraded processing hardware and additional engine-signal inputs to manage boost more accurately throughout the RPM range. The result is a more refined power delivery with stronger acceleration, improved responsiveness, and extra top-end passing power. STILLEN testing showed 294 WHP and 337 lb-ft of torque compared with 253 WHP and 294 lb-ft stock, with results varying by vehicle. V2 also brings a rugged polyurethane-potted housing designed to withstand heat, vibration, and harsh underhood conditions, while retaining the convenient app-based tuning experience that made the original popular.
If you're deciding between the two, V1 is the straightforward performance upgrade for the K5 1.6T, while V2 is the more advanced, more refined platform for the K5 2.5T. Both deliver the same basic appeal: more usable performance without cutting wires or spending hours installing complicated hardware.
