Product Description
The STILLEN Intercooler Reservoir Relocation Kit is the solution the 2022–2025 Toyota Tundra / Sequoia twin-turbo V6 has been waiting for. During development of our TruPower by STILLEN Cold Air Intake and TruControl by STILLEN Tuning Module, we discovered a critical weakness in the factory intercooler setup: heat soak from the OEM cooling layout.
From the factory, the intercooler reservoir and radiator reservoir share a single combined wall—meaning the heat from your radiator system transfers directly into your intercooler system. Whether you’re towing, cruising, or idling, that radiant heat preloads your intercooler fluid, hurting intake air temperatures and forcing the ECU to compensate with reduced timing and added fuel.
The STILLEN Intercooler Reservoir Relocation Kit separates the intercooler system from the radiator, giving it a dedicated path for thermal management. By divorcing the two systems and relocating the reservoir to a new position within the engine bay, this kit drastically improves cooling consistency and recovery time.
Proven Results. Real-World Testing.
Using an AEM AQ-1 Data Logger and additional sensors, we tested the OEM setup vs. our relocated intercooler system through real driving cycles—freeway pulls, idle time, and stop-and-go conditions. Here’s what we found:
- Faster Cooldown: STILLEN system returned to operating temps in 2 minutes vs. OEM system never cooling down after 8+ minutes.
- Reduced Heat Soak: STILLEN setup reached lower peak temps and recovered over 4x faster than stock.
- More Stable IATs: Better thermal control means less timing pull and more consistent engine output.
