These SPL front lower control arms are for rear-wheel-drive BMW 2 Series F22 coupe and F23 convertible models only. They do not fit xDrive models. SPL makes a separate xDrive version for AWD cars.

Product Description

SPL Parts Front Lower Control Arms give your RWD BMW 2 Series more adjustment than the factory arms can provide. They let you set front camber, track width, and roll center while replacing the large factory rubber bushing with low-friction FK spherical bearings. That gives the front end a more direct feel and makes it easier to dial in an alignment for wider tires, track use, or a lowered setup.

The arms use SPL's Double Adjuster and rotating-clamp design, so settings can be changed and locked down without fighting traditional jam nuts. Stainless roll-center spacers are included to help correct front suspension geometry after lowering. A factory ride-height sensor bracket is also included, which keeps the sensor in the correct location as arm length is adjusted.

Setting Up Adjustable Front Control Arms on Your F22/F23

You will need a proper alignment after installation. These arms give you room to add negative camber for better tire contact in corners, but the final settings should match how you use the car and the tires you run.

Replacing the factory rubber bushing with spherical bearings can add some road noise and harshness, especially on rough roads. It is usually more noticeable when the car already has spherical tension rods, stiff coilovers, aggressive tires, or higher tire pressures. That tradeoff comes with more precise steering and less bushing deflection under load.
