Product Description
The Rtunes Racing short ram intake replaces the factory airbox and restrictive intake tubing on the 2007-2011 Jeep Wrangler JK 3.8L V6. Its mandrel-bent intake tube creates a more direct path to the throttle body, while the reusable high-flow filter provides increased airflow and a more noticeable intake sound when accelerating.
The kit includes the intake pipe, filter, mounting hardware, vacuum hoses and reducers needed for installation. The washable filter can be cleaned and reused instead of being replaced during routine service.
Short Ram Intake vs. Cold Air Intake
This is a short ram intake, not a sealed cold-air system. The filter remains inside the engine compartment, resulting in a compact installation and a more audible intake sound. Buyers looking for an enclosed airbox or a filter relocated outside the engine compartment should consider a vehicle-specific cold-air intake instead.
