Product Description
The Rev9 Hyper Street II is for Legacy and Outback owners who want to replace the factory struts and springs with a height-adjustable setup without jumping into a much higher-priced coilover. The mono-tube dampers have 32 rebound settings, so you can soften the setup for daily use or firm it up when you want a more controlled feel on a back road.
Its full-length adjustment separates ride height from spring preload. That means you can lower the car while keeping the springs properly set up instead of cranking down the preload just to get the stance you want. The front pillow-ball mounts include camber plates, giving the alignment shop more room to dial in the front end after the car is lowered.
The 8k front and 5k rear spring rates are a firmer, more responsive setup than factory suspension. They are well suited to someone who wants a lower street car with less body motion and more adjustment than a basic spring-and-shock combination.
Before You Buy
Set the final ride height conservatively enough to retain practical suspension travel and tire clearance. Lowered ride height can change camber and toe, so a professional alignment is required after installation and again if you make a meaningful ride-height adjustment later. Front camber is adjustable through the included camber plates; rear alignment range depends on the vehicle and final ride height.
Pillow-ball front mounts can transmit more road and suspension noise than factory rubber mounts. That is normal for this style of performance coilover.
