• This is a true rear coilover setup, which means the shock and spring mount together as a coil-over-shock unit. The factory Z33/V35 rear suspension uses a divorced spring setup where the rear spring sits on an inboard perch built into the factory toe arm. Converting to true coilovers requires replacing that factory toe arm with a bucket delete toe arm.
• Rear bucket delete toe arms are a required companion purchase for this kit and are sold separately.

• Do not order this kit without also ordering bucket delete toe arms or the rear cannot be properly installed. No front or rear top mounts are included.

The factory rear toe arm incorporates the inboard spring bucket as part of its structure. Converting to true coilovers means replacing that arm with a bucket delete version. Do not order the Rev9 R9-HS2-008 without also ordering these or a comparable bucket delete arm.

• What are bucket delete toe arms and why do I need them?
  The factory 350Z and G35 rear suspension uses a divorced spring setup where the rear spring sits inboard on a perch that's actually built into the factory toe arm. True rear coilovers like this Rev9 kit replace that inboard spring with a coilover shock, but to do that you need to replace the factory toe arm with a bucket delete version that doesn't have the spring perch. Without bucket delete arms, the rear simply cannot be installed properly. We carry Megan Racing and Godspeed bucket delete toe arms for this platform on our site.
• Do the top mounts come with this kit?
  No. Neither front nor rear top mounts are included. You need to remove the top mounts from your existing factory struts and shocks and transfer them to the new coilovers during installation. Do not discard your factory strut assemblies until the top mounts have been removed.
• Will this fit my AWD G35X?
  No. The R9-HS2-008 is for RWD models only. The AWD G35X has a different rear suspension configuration that's not compatible with this kit.
• How much does it drop the car?
  Between 1 and 3 inches depending on where you set the ride height. You cannot return to factory height with these coilovers since they are a lowering kit only. The height adjustment works by turning the lower shock body, which keeps the spring preload and suspension travel intact at whatever height you choose.

The R9-HS2-008 converts the 350Z and G35 from the factory divorced spring setup to a true coilover at the rear. The factory rear spring sits inboard on a perch built into the toe arm, not over the shock. True rear coilovers replace that with a coil-over-shock unit at each corner, which gives you proper independent height adjustment at the rear and much better suspension geometry control when lowered.

Because of this conversion, you need rear bucket delete toe arms as a companion purchase. These replace the factory toe arm so the true coilover can install properly. We carry Megan Racing and Godspeed bucket delete arms for this platform. Order them together.

The Rev9 Hyper Street II coilovers are one of the more popular budget coilover options for the Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G35. If your stock shocks are worn out or you just want adjustable ride height and damping without spending a lot, this kit is worth looking at. You get a full set of 4 with a monotube shock design, which gives better oil and gas capacity compared to a twin-tube setup.

With 32 levels of damping adjustment you can go from soft to firm depending on how you are using the car. Ride height and spring preload are adjusted independently, so you can set your drop without affecting spring tension. The kit drops the car roughly 1" at minimum to about 3" at maximum from stock ride height.
