Product Description

The Planted seat bracket provides the vehicle-specific foundation needed to install an aftermarket racing seat in your 2005-2014 Mustang. Because the S197 floor is not flat, an adapter is required between the factory mounting points and your seat, slider or side-mount assembly.

Each bracket is made from 3/16-inch steel and shaped around the Mustang’s floor. Pre-slotted mounting areas support many common aftermarket seat and slider patterns, while additional material gives your installer room to drill a less common pattern when necessary. The black powder-coated finish helps protect the steel and gives the finished installation a clean appearance.

What You Need to Complete the Installation

• Bottom-mount seat with sliders: Aftermarket seat, compatible sliders, Planted Mustang seat bracket and installation hardware
• Bottom-mount seat without sliders: Aftermarket seat, Planted Mustang seat bracket and installation hardware; drilling may be required
• Side-mount seat: Aftermarket seat, compatible side mounts, Planted Mustang seat bracket and installation hardware
• Side-mount seat with sliders: Aftermarket seat, side mounts, compatible sliders, Planted Mustang seat bracket and installation hardware

Before You Buy

• Choose the correct side. Driver and passenger brackets are different and are sold individually unless you select the pair.
• Measure the overall width and height of your chosen seat to make sure it will fit inside your Mustang.
• Confirm whether your seat uses a bottom-mount or side-mount installation.
• Check whether your seat already includes sliders before purchasing another slider set.
• An aftermarket seat can change your seating height and may accentuate the factory steering-wheel offset.
• Removing the original seat may affect the airbag, passenger-occupancy sensor, seat-belt warning system or other safety functions. Do not bypass these systems without guidance from a qualified installer.
• Professional installation is recommended.
