The Muteki SR48 are open end tuner lug nuts designed for aftermarket wheels. Available in 12x1.25 and 12x1.5 thread pitch, 48mm in length, with a standard 17mm hex. A 17mm hex wrench adapter is included with every set. Sold as a set of 20.
These are cold forged from 50BV30 chrome vanadium steel, which gives the SR48 a uniform chemical composition, high purity, and excellent hardenability while keeping weight down. The thin wall, lightweight construction reduces unsprung weight compared to heavier OEM-style lug nuts, and the oversized 60-degree taper seat provides better contact area and a larger seating surface than standard lug nuts. The open end design allows full stud engagement, which is useful if you are running longer race studs that would bottom out in a closed end nut. The knurled perimeter top makes hand installation easier.
The compact size is designed to fit into smaller diameter wheel holes common on aftermarket wheels that would not clear a standard-sized lug nut. These are not a direct replacement for OEM lug nuts on factory wheels and are intended for use with aftermarket wheel applications.
