Product Description
Give your Audi A3 / A3 Quattro 2.0L Turbo the cooling performance it deserves with the Mishimoto Performance Intercooler. Designed specifically for the 8P chassis, this intercooler is a direct-fit upgrade for the 2006–2013 Audi A3, providing improved cooling capacity and durability over the factory intercooler system.
The stock intercooler is adequate for everyday driving, but increased boost and more aggressive driving can push the factory tube-and-fin design beyond its comfort zone. The Mishimoto Performance Intercooler replaces the lightweight factory construction with a robust bar-and-plate core and fully cast aluminum end tanks, providing improved durability and enhanced heat dissipation.
Mishimoto incorporated internal air diverters into the cast end tanks to promote efficient airflow through the entire core. The upgraded design delivers a 46-percent increase in core volume and a 97-percent increase in external fin surface area compared to the factory intercooler. Combined with the optimized end-tank design, the intercooler provides a 9-percent increase in airflow and reduces intercooler outlet temperatures by up to 20°F.
For a seamless installation, the kit includes durable silicone intercooler pipe couplers and a CNC-machined aluminum adapter designed to connect with the factory intercooler piping. The all-aluminum, TIG-welded construction and bar-and-plate core are built to withstand increased boost and demanding driving conditions.
