Product Description

The MagnaFlow 19200 Street Series catback replaces the factory exhaust from near the catalytic converter rearward on compatible Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 trucks with the 6.4L HEMI. MagnaFlow rates the sound as moderate outside the truck and mild inside the cabin, with a resonant, throaty exhaust note.

The kit is supplied as muffler, resonator and tailpipe assemblies with clamp hardware. MagnaFlow's installation sheet shows the muffler connecting to the factory outlet, the resonator connecting to the muffler assembly, and the tailpipe attaching with a supplied clamp. The factory rubber insulators are reused to support the system.

Installation involves disconnecting the original exhaust near the crossmember, releasing its hangers and removing the factory components rearward. The new sections are positioned and clamped in place, with the clamps left loose until the exhaust is aligned. MagnaFlow lists a 15mm tool and a hanger tool or pry bar as the minimum tools, and recommends professional installation. It also advises applying penetrating lubricant to fasteners and hangers before removal, especially on older vehicles.

The instructions call for checking the clamps after 25 to 50 miles and tightening them again if needed. Exhaust removal can take longer when the original fasteners or hangers are difficult to free, so inspect their condition before starting the job.
