Product Description

Ksport Kontrol Pro coilovers give the Porsche Cayman 987 adjustable ride height and damping in a complete four-corner suspension package. The 36-position adjusters change compression and rebound together, making it easier to move between a more compliant street setting and firmer response for aggressive driving or track use.

The monotube dampers keep the oil and pressurized gas separated for consistent operation as temperatures increase. Compared with a conventional twin-tube design, this construction provides more efficient heat dissipation and more precise damper response.

This Cayman-specific application includes pillowball upper mounts with camber adjustment at both the front and rear. These mounts provide a more direct connection than soft factory-style rubber mounts while giving the alignment technician additional adjustment after the vehicle has been lowered.

Threaded height adjustment allows the stance to be set independently from the damping setting. The aluminum mounts, collars and spring perches help reduce unnecessary weight, while zinc-plated steel shock bodies, dust boots and integrated bump stops protect the working components.

PASM and Alignment Requirements

If the Cayman has electronically controlled factory dampers, the factory control system can detect the removal of the original dampers and trigger a suspension warning. Ksport offers the EDCPO060 cancellation kit specifically for the 2006-2012 Cayman to cancel the factory damper signal while keeping the vehicle’s ECU functional.

• The EDCPO060 cancellation kit is not included with the coilovers.
• Set the final ride height before completing the alignment.
• Allow the suspension to settle and recheck ride height after installation.
• Camber plates provide additional adjustment, but the final alignment range depends on ride height, wheel size, tire size and the condition of the remaining suspension components.
