Product Description

The Koyorad VH060650 is a direct-fit aluminum radiator developed for the second-generation Mazda MX-5 Miata. Its 36mm Hyper V-Core increases coolant capacity and heat-transfer surface area while maintaining a compact profile for the NB Miata engine bay.

A specialized tube-and-fin arrangement helps increase surface area without excessively restricting airflow through the core. The aluminum tanks are precision welded to the furnace-brazed core, eliminating the crimped plastic-tank construction commonly found on factory-style replacement radiators.

The radiator retains the original hose locations and fan-shroud mounting provisions, making it suitable for street-driven, autocross, track and turbocharged Miata applications.

Mazdaspeed Miata Fitment

The VH060650 also fits the 2004-2005 Mazdaspeed MX-5 Miata with a manual transmission. Because the thicker radiator occupies more engine-bay space, carefully inspect the A/C condenser brackets and refrigerant-line clearance during installation. Minor adjustment of the condenser mounting position may be required to prevent contact with the radiator core.

Installation Notes

• Inspect the upper and lower radiator hoses, clamps, thermostat and cooling fans before installation.
• Flush old or contaminated coolant from the system before installing the new radiator.
• Transfer the factory fans and fan shrouds to the new radiator.
• Confirm that the condenser, A/C lines and fan shrouds do not contact the radiator core.
• Use a radiator cap with the correct fit and pressure rating for the vehicle.
• Refill the system with Mazda-compatible coolant and thoroughly bleed trapped air.
• Check for leaks and verify cooling-fan operation after the engine reaches operating temperature.
