Product Description
The K&N 33-2990 performance air filter is a washable replacement for the disposable panel filter in select BMW 4 Series factory air boxes. It keeps the original intake layout in place while replacing the paper element with K&N’s pre-oiled cotton gauze media.
Because it installs in the stock air box, this is a straightforward maintenance upgrade for owners who want a reusable BMW air filter without changing the intake tube, adding an open filter, or requiring ECU tuning. The layered cotton media is designed to support strong airflow while trapping dirt before it reaches the engine.
Instead of replacing a disposable filter at every service interval, the 33-2990 can be cleaned, re-oiled, and used again. K&N recommends servicing it at up to 75,000 miles under normal highway driving conditions. Dusty conditions may require more frequent inspection and cleaning.

Before You Buy
This is an oiled cotton replacement air filter, not a complete cold air intake. It fits inside the factory air box and does not include an intake tube, heat shield, or tuning device. When service is due, use the proper K&N cleaner and filter oil. Do not use compressed air, as it can damage the filter media.
