Fitment Note: This filter fits the naturally aspirated inline-6 E60 5 Series only, covering the M54 (2003-2005) and N52 (2006-2010) engine codes. The 535i uses a turbocharged N54 engine with a different airbox and needs a different filter. Same goes for the 545i and 550i N62 V8 and the M5 S85 V10. If you're not sure which engine you have, check your door jamb sticker or VIN. Drop-in replacement, no tools needed. Sold as a single filter.

One thing to confirm before ordering: this filter is for the naturally aspirated inline-6 E60 only. The 535i has a turbocharged N54 under the hood with a different airbox that takes a different filter entirely. If your E60 has a 535i badge, this isn't the right one. Same goes for the 545i, 550i, and M5. For those, K&N makes separate part numbers that are also available here. The 33-2292 drops straight into the factory airbox with no tools, takes about two minutes to swap, and unlike the paper filter it replaces, you wash it and put it back rather than throwing it away.
