If you imported a JDM car and the US plate holes do not line up with the factory mounting points, this bracket fixes that without drilling the plate or bumper. It also gives you a mounting point for a compatible backup camera.
The aluminum adapter bolts to the factory JDM license plate mounting points, then your standard US plate attaches to the adapter with the supplied stainless hardware. The camera sits above the plate instead of requiring another bracket or a hole drilled into the bumper.

Product Description
A lot of imported cars still have the original Japanese plate mounting pattern, which does not line up with the holes in a US plate. You can drill new holes and make it work, but there is no reason to do that when an adapter fits the original mounting points.
This version also handles the backup camera. The camera sits above the license plate and can be aimed after installation, provided it uses the required 8mm vertical mount or is one of the cameras listed by Outsider Garage.
The adapter is aluminum instead of 3D-printed plastic, and the countersunk hardware lets the US plate sit flat against it. Once the plate is installed, most of the adapter is hidden behind it.
Installation Notes
- Remove the existing plate and any plate bracket already installed on the car.
- Attach the aluminum adapter to the factory JDM mounting points using the countersunk screws.
- Install the backup camera before mounting the license plate if access to the camera fastener will be blocked.
- Route the camera wiring away from sharp edges, exhaust heat and moving trunk or hatch components.
- Use an existing wiring grommet where possible. Seal any new wiring opening against water.
- Attach the US license plate using the supplied stainless screws and washers.
- Check the camera image and adjust the lens angle before tightening everything completely.

- The backup camera is not included.
- Confirm that your camera matches one of the listed models or uses an 8mm vertical mounting provision with an adjustable lens.
- This bracket handles the physical camera mount only. Camera wiring, display integration and electrical installation are separate.
- Check that the vehicle still has its original JDM license plate mounting points. Previous owners may have drilled or modified the bumper.
- This listing includes one adapter bracket for one license plate.
