Fitment Note: This intake fits the S63TU twin-turbo V8 across the F10 M5 sedan and all three F1X M6 body styles, including the F06 Gran Coupe, F12 Coupe, and F13 Convertible. Competition models across all platforms are confirmed fitments. Your vehicle must already have a factory front mount intake path for this to install correctly.

The most important thing to know about silicone front mount intakes on the S63TU is the MAF housing. The factory MAF sensor has to transfer from the OEM airbox to the new intake, and a poorly fitting MAF housing causes sensor signal errors that show up as hesitation, rough idle, and check engine lights. IRL bonds a CNC machined aluminum MAF housing directly into the silicone structure rather than using a slip-fit or adhesive-bonded plastic adapter, which keeps the sensor seated correctly and eliminates the most common installation problem on S63TU intake swaps. The 3.5 inch inner diameter throughout the system is larger than the factory intake path, which is where the airflow improvement comes from, along with the cold air front mount position that draws denser air from in front of the engine rather than from the hot engine bay environment.
