- BMW M3 E46 S54 3.2L (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006) Coupe and Convertible
Fitment Note: This is Section 2 of the E46 M3 exhaust, the mid-pipe section that sits between your Section 1 pipes and the muffler. It deletes the factory resonator and bolts up to either the stock Section 1 or an aftermarket Section 1, and connects to any muffler. S54 engine only, does not fit the standard E46 with M54 engine.

Section 2 is the most overlooked piece of the E46 M3 exhaust system. Most people go straight for the muffler and wonder why the E46 M3 exhaust still sounds muted. The factory resonator in this position is actively suppressing the S54 before the sound even gets to the muffler. Delete it and the whole character of the car changes, especially when paired with an aftermarket Section 3. If you want the full IRL system, grab the complete catback instead.
