Fitment Note: This charge pipe fits the first generation B58 3.0L inline-6 turbo engine used across BMW F-series and early G-series models from approximately 2015 through 2018. The Gen 1 B58 is distinguished from the Gen 2 B58 (used in G20 M340i, G22 M440i, G29 Z4, and Toyota GR Supra A90) by its throttle body connection style. If you are unsure which generation B58 your car has, confirm using your build date or VIN at a BMW dealer before ordering. The Gen 2 B58 requires a separate IRL charge pipe.

The OEM part number above is provided as reference for the factory plastic charge pipe this IRL kit replaces on the Gen 1 B58 platform. This is the same part number used across all Gen 1 B58 applications listed in the fitment block, since BMW used a shared charge pipe design across these chassis. If you have any doubt about which OEM part is in your car, confirm using your VIN at a BMW dealer parts counter.
The factory Gen 1 B58 charge pipe is plastic, and it's a known weak point on this platform. At stock boost levels it usually holds, but under any kind of tune or elevated boost it becomes a liability. Cracks in the pipe cause boost leaks that show up as reduced power, turbo hesitation, and sometimes a check engine light before the pipe fully fails. Swapping it for the aluminum IRL version removes that failure point entirely and gives you a pipe that handles boost without flexing, cracking, or collapsing under pressure. The Tri-Port design also gives you a convenient bung location if you ever want to add water/meth injection or tap a boost gauge source without welding anything to the pipe. No tune is required to run this charge pipe on its own.
