The MK3 Ford Focus RS is perfect for weekday commutes and thrilling track days. Its 2.3L Turbo engine delivers impressive power, but the stock tube-and-fin intercooler struggles to keep up, especially when adding a tune or bolt-on upgrades. This bar-and-plate intercooler efficiently reduces charge air temperatures, improves airflow, and minimizes pressure drop. With factory calibrations pulling timing as temps rise above 100 degrees, upgrading to this intercooler ensures consistent power by maintaining near-ambient charge air temperatures.
The FM9003i intercooler boasts a 25% increase in core volume and reduces charge air temps by an average of 35%, delivering gains of up to 14 HP and 15 Ft. Lbs. of torque.
