Fitment Note
This HKS Hipermax S kit fits the first-generation 86 platform only. It does not fit the 2022 and newer Toyota GR86 or Subaru BRZ ZN8/ZD8 models. Front pillowball upper mounts provide camber adjustment.

Product Description
HKS Hipermax S coilovers give the Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ, and Toyota 86 a lower ride height with a broad range of damping adjustment for street driving, back-road use, and track days. The 30-step adjusters let you set the dampers around HKS's middle setting for regular driving or fine-tune the response as tires, alignment, and driving conditions change.
The kit uses 5 kgf/mm springs front and rear, front inverted dampers, and front pillowball camber plates. Ride height is adjusted separately from spring preload, so the car can be lowered while retaining appropriate damper stroke. The front mounts allow camber adjustment, while the rear uses rubber upper mounts to help control transmitted noise.

Before You Buy
Set the final ride height before completing the alignment. The front camber plates provide adjustment, but lowered FR-S, BRZ, and 86 models may also need rear camber and toe correction to bring the alignment back into specification. HKS lists the lowest height settings as potentially unsuitable for road use or free of tire, arm, and body interference, especially with non-stock wheels and tires.
