Fitment Note
This kit is for the naturally aspirated 3.5L V6 only. It does not fit Explorer Sport, Platinum, or other models equipped with a turbocharged EcoBoost engine. Confirm your Explorer has the non-turbo 3.5L V6 before ordering.

Product Description
The factory Explorer intake is designed primarily to keep induction noise down. This Rtunes Racing kit replaces that closed setup with a mandrel-bent black intake pipe, reusable cone filter, and heat shield. It gives the 3.5L V6 a more noticeable intake sound when accelerating while keeping the filter separated from the rest of the engine bay.
This is a practical bolt-on choice for a naturally aspirated Explorer owner who wants a cleaner intake layout without stepping into a more involved engine modification. The filter can be removed, cleaned, and reused instead of being thrown away at service time.
Before You Buy
Verify that your Explorer has the naturally aspirated 3.5L V6. Ford offered turbocharged EcoBoost Explorer models during this generation, and this intake does not fit those engines. Check that the MAF sensor connection and all couplers are fully seated during installation.
