The 50314 drops the front about 1.2 inches and the rear about 1 inch, which is enough to close the fender gap and give the S4 a more planted stance without going so low that the car becomes impractical on real roads. These work with the factory dampers, but if your B6 or B7 is at any kind of mileage, it makes a lot more sense to do the shocks at the same time. The OEM dampers are valved for the factory spring rate. Running a stiffer spring against worn shocks means the car will bounce and feel unsettled rather than tight. Pairing these with the Bilstein B8s - the shock Bilstein specifically designed for lowering springs - is the complete answer.
Fitment Information
- Audi S4 B6 8E Sedan Quattro AWD V8 4.2L (2004, 2005)
- Audi S4 B7 8E Sedan Quattro AWD V8 4.2L (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008), including facelift model
- Audi S4 B7 8E Avant Quattro AWD V8 4.2L (2006, 2007, 2008), including facelift model
- Note: Not for use on vehicles equipped with DRC (Dynamic Ride Control) without first addressing the DRC system. Verify your suspension type before ordering.
Fitment Note: This kit covers the Audi S4 on the 8E platform across the B6 (2004 to mid-2005) and B7 (mid-2005 to 2008) generations, including the B7 Avant wagon and the facelift model. All applications are the V8 4.2L Quattro AWD configuration. The 2004-2005 S4 is the B6 chassis and the 2005-2008 S4 is the B7 chassis. Both share the same front strut and rear spring architecture covered by this kit. Certain S4 B6 and B7 models were equipped with DRC (Dynamic Ride Control), a hydraulically cross-linked shock system. While H&R lists this kit for the 8E S4 generally, DRC interacts with spring rate changes and should be addressed before installation. Confirm whether your car has DRC by checking for a hydraulic line connecting the front and rear shock absorbers on the same side of the vehicle.

Product Description
H&R Sport Springs offer superb ride quality and are H&R's number one selling product. These lowering springs offer some of the best ride characteristics of any lowering spring and offer enhanced handling while giving your car just the right amount of lowering to close the fender gap. H&R Sport lowering springs lower the vehicle center of gravity and reduce body roll for incredible handling improvements. H&R Sport springs are progressive rate and work fantastic with aftermarket, factory or performance shocks. On older vehicles we do recommend to upgrade the shocks at the same time.
Includes all 4 springs for a complete setup.

The B6 and B7 Audi S4 shared the 8E platform with the A4 of the same era, and the OEM spring part numbers went through numerous revision suffixes over the production run based on build date, body style (sedan vs. Avant), suspension tune, and engine variant. A single definitive OEM number cannot be confirmed for the full 2004-2008 range. To identify the exact OEM spring fitted to your specific car, cross-reference using your VIN at any Audi dealer or via realoem.com or etka.net. The H&R 50314 kit replaces all four corners.
