Godspeed MonoSS MSS0154 Coilovers BMW 5 Series E60 RWD (2004-2010) 16-Click Damping, RWD Only, No EDC

One thing worth knowing upfront: MSS0154 is the RWD kit only. If your E60 is an xDrive, the kit you want is MSS0258. It is also worth checking whether your car has EDC before ordering. EDC (Electronic Damper Control) was a factory option on multiple E60 trim levels that lets you adjust suspension firmness from a button in the cabin. If your car has that button, the factory dampers are electronically controlled and these coilovers will conflict with the system unless it is properly disabled. The spring rates on this kit (12 kg/mm front, 8 kg/mm rear) are stiffer than stock but still street-friendly. Most E60 owners running this kit on a daily find the middle of the 16 damping clicks to be a solid starting point and adjust from there based on road conditions and tire choice.

Fitment Note: MSS0154 is a RWD-only kit covering all standard suspension 2004-2010 BMW E60 5 Series sedans. It is not compatible with E60 xDrive AWD models, which require a separate kit (Godspeed MSS0258). It is also not compatible with any E60 equipped with EDC (Electronic Damper Control) or factory rear self-leveling suspension. EDC was available as an option across multiple E60 trim levels and allows the driver to select suspension firmness from the cabin. If your car has a suspension mode button in the center console or instrument cluster, it has EDC and this kit will not work without disabling that system first. The OEM front strut part numbers for the E60 split across production date and suspension specification. The standard suspension numbers above apply to non-sport, non-EDC RWD models. Sport Suspension and Dynamic Drive E60 cars use different strut assemblies. The xDrive AWD E60 uses completely different front strut part numbers (31316786519 / 31316786520) and is not covered by this Godspeed kit. Product Description

GodSpeed MonoSS coilovers are great entry level single adjustable coilovers. GodSpeed starts with a race coilover and tones it down for the street to give you an extremely capable coilover that you can comfortably use every day.  GodSpeed uses some of the best and most exotic components on the market such as a carbon seamless steel 52mm tube with a high performance internal shock piston that provides fast and precise damper response.  GodSpeed coilover springs are cold-bent from high strength SAE9252 steel to be comfortable and high performance.  

A big problem with a lot of entry level coilovers is that they use cheap shock oil, but GodSpeed doesn't follow that philosophy.  Race quality shock oil ensures exceptional damper performance any any temperature, on or off the track.  The GodSpeed coilover top hat uses a high performance Japanese KOYO 6204Z bearing pillowball mount (when applicable).  Bottom shock brackets are also top quality and made from T7075 forged aluminum or carbon steel brackets for light weight and durability.
