Fitment Note

This is a no-knuckle, weld-on coilover kit. The factory steering knuckles must be welded to the slip-over lower mounts during installation. It is not a bolt-on suspension kit. Confirm the 54mm front lower-mount requirement and, for 1974 260Z models, verify the production date before ordering.

Product Description

The Godspeed MAXX coilover kit gives late S30 Datsun 260Z and 280Z owners adjustable ride height, damping control, and camber adjustment in one setup. The 40-way dampers let you move the ride from softer street settings toward a firmer track-focused setup, while the 7K front and 4K rear spring combination suits the weight balance of the classic Z chassis.

Ride height and spring preload adjust separately, so you can set the stance without using preload to chase height. Front and rear camber plates are included for added alignment range, and the monotube dampers use 52mm shock bodies with 44mm internal pistons. This is a serious suspension upgrade for an S30 build, but it needs the right installation work to perform as intended.

Weld-On S30 Coilover Installation

These Datsun 280Z coilovers require fabrication and welding. The kit does not include steering knuckles, and the factory knuckles must be welded onto the new slip-over lower mounts. We recommend having the work completed by a qualified fabricator or suspension shop, followed by a professional alignment. Do not order this kit based on model year alone, especially for a 1974 260Z, because early cars use a different front lower-mount size.
