Product Description

The Flowmaster Flow FX 71415 is a universal 2.25-inch muffler for builds that need a compact, straight-through center-in and center-out layout. The 4-inch round case is useful where space is tight, while the 14-inch body provides more sound control than a short race-style muffler.

Rather than using Flowmaster’s traditional chambered design, the Flow FX uses a straight-through core to deliver a smoother, deeper tone. It is a good choice for a street-driven four-cylinder, six-cylinder, classic, truck, or custom project where you want more exhaust character without stepping into an excessively loud setup.

The 409 stainless case is fully welded for durability, and the reversible layout gives your exhaust shop flexibility when positioning the muffler. It accepts 2.25-inch pipe on both ends and can be clamped or welded into the system.

Measuring for a 2.25-Inch Muffler

Measure the available room before ordering. This muffler is 20 inches long overall with a 4-inch round body, and it needs a straight center-to-center pipe path through the case. You will need a single 2.25-inch pipe entering and leaving the muffler, along with the appropriate clamps, hangers, tubing, and tip for your build.

It is also good to mock up the muffler before welding. Make sure it clears suspension movement, driveshafts, brake lines, and heat-sensitive components. This is a universal part, so final fitment depends on the vehicle and the exhaust work being done.
