If the clutch pedal in your 2001-2005 Civic feels soft, slowly sinks to the floor or is making it harder to get the car into gear, the clutch master cylinder may be starting to fail. This EXEDY clutch master cylinder replaces the original unit and restores proper hydraulic pressure between the clutch pedal and slave cylinder.
MC553 is an OEM-style replacement made for the 1.7L D17-powered Civic with a manual transmission. It bolts into the factory location and connects to the original clutch hydraulic system without requiring modifications.
