Product Description
The CSF 7042O is a serious cooling upgrade for the 2009-2013 Subaru Forester X and X Premium 2.5L. It combines a 42 mm, two-row all-aluminum radiator with a built-in liquid-to-oil cooler, giving the Forester a complete engine-cooling and oil-cooling solution in one vehicle-specific package.
CSF's B-Tube core and multi-louvered fin design increase the cooling surface area without adding unnecessary bulk. The result is a radiator designed for daily-driven Foresters that see hot climates, mountain driving, towing, or extended high-load use, while also giving modified builds more thermal control than the factory cooling system.
The integrated four-plate oil cooler sits inside the lower radiator tank, where the cooling system helps regulate engine-oil temperature. This avoids the packaging challenges of mounting a separate air-to-oil cooler in front of the radiator and helps the oil warm up more consistently in cold conditions.
Before You Buy
This is a complete replacement radiator with an integrated engine-oil cooler. It replaces the factory radiator and adds oil-cooling capability through the built-in cooler in the lower tank. The kit includes the Mocal sandwich plate and -10AN fittings, but oil lines are not included and must be selected or fabricated for the installation. Plan to add approximately 1/4 to 1/2 quart of engine oil after the system is filled. Confirm your Forester is an X or X Premium 2.5L model before ordering.
