Product Description
Replacing the turbo inlet on a Subaru EJ engine is legendary for being a difficult job. The space is tight, and the factory part is a nightmare. COBB Tuning listened to the community and completely re-engineered this essential upgrade with the V2 Design. The new shape is specifically contoured to navigate around the TGV (Tumble Generator Valve) housings, eliminating the wrestling match usually required to get an inlet tube to sit flush. This means less time swearing in the garage and more time driving.
But fitment is only half the battle. The stock rubber hose is notorious for getting brittle, cracking near the turbo, and even collapsing flat under high-boost vacuum—starving your engine of air right when it needs it most. COBB solves this with a robust 5-ply steel-reinforced silicone body that maintains its shape under the most extreme pressure. They also ditched the protruding fittings for flush-mount billet aluminum adapters, smoothing out the airflow path for maximum efficiency.
