The WRX/STI is an aggressive machine, but pop the hood and you are greeted by a cheap, translucent white plastic jug that looks like it belongs on a lawnmower. COBB took the functional requirements of the stock tank—specifically the 1L capacity—and repackaged it into a bomb-proof TIG-welded aluminum unit. Why aluminum? Because your boxer engine generates massive heat. Plastic fatigues and cracks over time, but aluminum endures. We coated it inside and out with a durable black anodizing to fight off corrosion and give it that high-end, stealth aesthetic that matches the rest of the COBB lineup.

If you are planning on making big power with a Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC), this tank is practically mandatory. The stock tank is bulky and awkwardly shaped, often blocking the path for charge piping. The COBB tank’s slim profile tucks neatly out of the way, clearing space for your boost tubes without sacrificing coolant capacity.

COBB swapped the cheap plastic lid for a custom Delrin Cap. Delrin is fantastic at resisting heat absorption, meaning you won't burn your fingers if you need to check levels after a spirited drive. We even included a matching cap for your washer fluid reservoir because mismatched engine bays drive us crazy too.
