Fitment Note

The VQ35HR fitment applies to the 2007-2008 Nissan 350Z. The 2003-2007 Infiniti G35 Coupe uses the VQ35DE engine family. This axle-back is not listed for the G35 Sedan, G35X or 2008-up G37 Coupe.

Product Description

If you want to hear more of the VQ without buying a complete cat-back, this Bull Boost axle-back is a straightforward way to do it. The pipe replaces the factory rear muffler, giving your 350Z or G35 Coupe a louder and deeper exhaust note while leaving the rest of the exhaust in place.

The single-exit layout also cleans up the back of the car with a simple 4-inch tip instead of the factory dual outlets. Its 2.5-inch mandrel-bent tubing follows a smooth path into the tip, while the factory-style hanger and flange keep the installation bolt-on.

Installation Notes

Remove the factory rear muffler, attach the Bull Boost pipe to the existing mid-pipe flange and slide the hanger into the factory rubber mount. Check the condition of the original flange gasket before installation and replace it if it is flattened, damaged or already leaking.

Older exhaust hardware can be heavily rusted, so penetrating oil and replacement flange hardware may make the job easier. Check the pipe and tip clearance around the bumper before fully tightening the flange.

What to Expect From a Muffler Delete

This is a true rear muffler delete, so the sound change will be more noticeable than a muffled axle-back. Expect more volume during acceleration, a deeper idle and more exhaust sound inside the car. Drone and rasp will depend on the rest of your setup, especially if the car also has an aftermarket Y-pipe, headers or high-flow catalytic converters.
