Fitment Note

This exhaust fits cars without the factory valved exhaust system, also known as Porsche Sport Exhaust or PSE. It does not fit a 981 with valves in the factory exhaust. Confirm your car does not have PSE before ordering.

Product Description

Borla built the 140534 S-Type catback for the naturally aspirated 981 2.7L and 3.4L flat-six. It replaces the exhaust behind the catalytic converters with 2.25-inch stainless piping, Borla mufflers, and dual 4-inch polished tips in the factory center-exit location.

The S-Type is the louder Borla option for a 981 without taking the system into race-exhaust territory. It brings out more of the flat-six sound when you get into the throttle, but it is still a full catback for a street-driven Cayman or Boxster, not a muffler-delete setup.

Before You Order

The big thing to check is PSE. This system is only for cars that came without the factory valved exhaust. If your car has the factory exhaust button and valves, this is not the right Borla system. It is also worth looking over the factory clamps and hardware before installation, especially on an older 981 that has seen a lot of heat cycles.
