BLOX LS VTEC Conversion Kit for Honda B18/B20 Block & B16/B18C Head BXPT-00500

If you're putting a B16A or B18C VTEC head on a non-VTEC B18 or B20 block, this is the hardware that handles the external oil feed and head alignment. The BLOX BXPT-00500 kit includes the sandwich plate, -6AN fittings, braided oil line, dowel pins and plugs needed for an LS/VTEC or B20/VTEC build. It saves you from piecing together the small parts one at a time, but it is not a complete engine build kit and does not include a head gasket.

Fitment Note

This kit is used to mate a non-VTEC B18 or B20 block to a compatible B16A or B18C DOHC VTEC cylinder head. The B16 application refers to the cylinder head, not a B16 engine block.

How the Conversion Kit Works

A non-VTEC B18 or B20 block does not have the same oil-feed setup as a factory VTEC block. This kit adds an external oil line from the oil-filter adapter to the VTEC cylinder head. The included dowel pins help locate the head correctly on the block during assembly.

This is only the conversion hardware. The finished engine still needs the correct VTEC head, head gasket, timing parts, seals, engine management and any other parts required for your specific combination.

Installation Notes

• This is an engine-building part and should be installed by someone familiar with Honda B-series engine assembly.
• Confirm your exact block, cylinder head, bore size and timing setup before starting the build.
• Follow the proper torque specifications and engine-building procedures for your block and cylinder head combination.
• Check the complete oil-feed system for leaks and verify oil pressure before running the engine under load.
• The engine will need the correct ECU setup and tuning for the completed LS/VTEC or B20/VTEC combination.

• A head gasket is not included with BXPT-00500.
• This is not a vehicle-specific bolt-on kit. Compatibility is based on your engine block and cylinder head combination.
• Confirm the required head-gasket bore before ordering an 81mm or 84mm gasket.
• The VTEC cylinder head, timing belt, water pump, ECU, wiring and tuning parts are not included.
