Fitment Note: RWD sedan models only without Airmatic air suspension. The W218 CLS was widely sold with Airmatic as standard or optional equipment. This kit is not compatible with Airmatic equipped cars. To confirm whether your CLS has Airmatic, check for a ride height selector button on the center console, look for air strut components in the wheel wells, or check your build sheet for the Airmatic option code. 

NOTE: Any BC Racing kit modification such as custom spring rate, upgrading to swift springs or that is not regularly stocked as an extreme low kit will require an additional $150 invoiced to you by our orders team after you place your order.

Lowering the CLS reduces the vertical fender gap and spacers address the horizontal stance, and the two are commonly paired together on a W218 build.

The ultimate street coilover!  BC Racing has been known amongst performance enthusiasts to manufacture one of the best coilovers on the market.  There is almost no equal to the level of performance, adjustability and ride quality you receive from BC Racing Coilovers.  BC Racing makes it easy to replace your factory suspension with a full performance coilover system by including everything you need in a comprehensive kit.  These coilovers come with an adjustment knob that makes it easy for you to set the coilover dampening to your specific needs and adjust compression and rebound together.  You can also adjust how low you want the vehicle by adjusting the shock body, as opposed to cheaper kits that make you compress the spring in order to lower the vehicle.  The benefit of lowering the vehicle with the coilover shock body vs spring compression is that you do not lose suspension travel and do not force your vehicle to have a worse ride because you adjusted your coilovers very low.

Frequently Asked Questions

• How do I know if my CLS has Airmatic?
  The easiest way is to check the center console for a ride height selector button or switch. You can also look at the front strut towers or rear axle area for air strut components, which look quite different from a standard coilover or strut. If you are still unsure, your build sheet or option code list will have the Airmatic code. Reach out to us before ordering if you need help confirming this and we will walk you through it.
• Does this kit include front camber plates?
  No. The J-18 BR for the W218 reuses the OEM front top mount and does not include camber plates. If you need front camber adjustment after lowering, a separate adjustable upper arm or camber kit is needed. Contact us and we can help identify the right option for your car.
• Will this work with the CLS63 AMG?
  Yes, provided your CLS63 AMG does not have Airmatic. The CLS63 AMG W218 RWD without air suspension is a confirmed fit for this kit. If your AMG has Airmatic, it is not compatible.
• What is the drop range on a W218 with this kit?
  On average BC Racing BR Series coilovers allow about 1 to 2 inches of drop below factory ride height at the standard setting, and up to 2 to 3 inches at the extreme low setting. Factory ride height cannot be achieved. The exact drop on your car will depend on where you set the shock body adjustment.
