Crafted from 3-inch, U.S.-sourced T304L stainless steel, the system features a valved SwitchPath™ muffler that seamlessly retains factory valve behavior no harnesses or extensions needed. Minimal bends. Maximum flow. Push-button transformation.

The SwitchPath Axleback is engineered to begin at the factory cut point, making it compatible with the stock mid-section or any aftermarket mid-pipe that respects the OEM cut point.

Keeping the aggression out at the rear of the X3/4 M, and out of the cabin, is AWE’s patented drone-canceling solution, 180 Technology. As exhaust gases exit the S58 engine and flow into an AWE 180 Technology equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports, and into reflection chambers. Sound waves, carried by these exhaust gasses, bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers.

By controlling the size and location of the ports and the chambers, we also control when the sound waves exit the chambers. The specific timing of when the reflected sound waves rejoin the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies.

Ditch the stock mid-section for a pair of 3-inch, non-resonated mid-pipes featuring a bespoke X-pipe designed to unlock a more aggressive, refined tone. When paired with the SwitchPath™ Axleback, the result is a deep, smooth soundtrack with no trace of rasp.

The Non-Resonated Performance Mid Pipes are engineered to begin right behind the factory secondary catalysts, and they’re compatible with both the factory axleback and any system that aligns with the OEM cut point.
