Product Description
Engineered to combine purposeful chassis reinforcement with exceptional dry carbon craftsmanship, the AutoTecknic Dry Carbon Fiber Strut Brace is a functional and visual upgrade designed specifically for the BMW F95 X5M, F96 X6M, and G09 XM.
Unlike conventional aftermarket strut braces constructed from carbon tubes joined to separate aluminum mounting ends, the AutoTecknic brace is precision CNC-machined from a substantial multi-layer dry carbon fiber laminate. This plate-style construction creates a direct, uninterrupted structure between the front strut tower mounting points while eliminating the bonded tube-to-end-mount connections commonly found in traditional carbon fiber brace designs.
By reinforcing the connection between the front strut towers, the brace is designed to help limit unwanted relative movement across the front chassis structure during cornering and changing suspension loads. The result is a more connected front-end feel, with the potential for more immediate steering response and greater consistency during spirited driving.
Beyond its functional purpose, the precision-machined profile and exposed 2x2 carbon fiber weave create a commanding centerpiece within the engine bay. Every contour is designed to complement the muscular proportions and performance character of BMW’s flagship M sport activity vehicles.
Precision CNC-Machined Dry Carbon Construction
The brace is manufactured from genuine pre-preg dry carbon fiber laminate and cured under controlled heat and pressure. This process allows for a high carbon-fiber-to-resin ratio, consistent material density, and excellent strength relative to weight.
Following the curing process, the carbon laminate is precision CNC-machined to create the brace’s final profile, mounting locations, openings, and detailed edges. This production method allows for accurate dimensions and a highly technical appearance that cannot be achieved with a conventional molded carbon tube design.
The visible 2x2 twill weave is finished with a UV-resistant clear coat, available in either gloss or matte, helping preserve the carbon fiber’s depth and appearance over time.
Designed as One Complete Structure
Traditional carbon fiber strut braces often use a hollow carbon tube bonded or fastened to separate aluminum mounting brackets. The AutoTecknic design takes a different approach.
Its plate-style carbon fiber construction forms the main brace and mounting sections from one continuous multi-layer laminate. This minimizes separate structural connections and provides a clean, direct load path across the front strut towers.
