Fitment Note

• Fits models equipped with the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 gasoline engine.

Filter Options

• Pro DRY S, part number 51-74211: Three-layer synthetic filter media that does not require oil. Washable and reusable. Recommended for drivers who prefer easier maintenance.
• Pro 5R, part number 54-74211: Five-layer oiled cotton-gauze media designed for maximum airflow. Washable and reusable but must be reoiled after cleaning.

Product Description

The aFe Momentum GT cold air intake replaces the restrictive factory intake on the 2016–2024 Chevrolet Camaro 3.6L V6. Its sealed housing, large performance filter and smoother intake tube are designed to improve airflow while drawing cooler outside air from the factory inlet area.

aFe dyno testing recorded maximum gains of up to 15 horsepower and 11 lb-ft of torque, along with up to 31% more airflow than the original intake. The larger airflow path can improve throttle response and gives the naturally aspirated V6 a deeper, more noticeable induction sound under acceleration.

The system uses a one-piece roto-molded housing made from heat-resistant cross-linked polyethylene. This enclosed design helps isolate the filter from hot engine-compartment air. An auxiliary scoop connects with the housing and directs cooler outside air toward the filter. A clear sight window makes it possible to inspect the filter without removing the housing.

The CAD-designed intake tube provides a smoother path to the throttle body while retaining a resonance chamber for a more refined sound. Premium stainless-steel T-bolt clamps, a silicone coupling and a billet aluminum crankcase fitting provide secure connections throughout the system.

Installation uses the Camaro’s existing mounting locations and does not require cutting, drilling or ECU tuning. Both filter configurations use the same housing and intake tube, allowing you to choose between the low-maintenance Pro DRY S filter and the higher-flow Pro 5R oiled filter.

Pro DRY S or Pro 5R?

Choose the Pro DRY S filter if you want straightforward maintenance without filter oil. Its synthetic media can be washed, dried and reinstalled. This is the better choice for most daily-driven Camaros.

Choose the Pro 5R filter if maximum airflow is your priority. Its five layers of progressively finer cotton-gauze media are supplied pre-oiled and can be washed and reused. The filter must be properly reoiled after cleaning.
