Run gasoline, E85 or any mixture of the two in your 1999–2010 Mustang GT without changing tunes every time the ethanol blend changes. The Advanced Fuel Dynamics ProFlex Commander reads the actual ethanol content in the fuel and adjusts injector operation as you drive.
This kit works with both the New Edge 2V and S197 3V versions of the 4.6L Mustang GT. Both applications require upgraded injectors to safely run full E85. Advanced Fuel Dynamics recommends 42 lb Ford Racing injectors.

Fitment Notes
- Fits Mustang GT models equipped with the 4.6L V8.
- Does not fit the Cobra, Mach 1, Shelby GT500, V6 or 5.0L Coyote Mustang.
- Upgraded injectors are required to safely run full E85.

Commander Options
- Standard Commander: Designed for naturally aspirated, stock or lightly modified engines. Upgraded injectors are still required for full E85 on this Mustang application.
- Commander Pro: The better choice for supercharged, turbocharged or heavily modified builds using 600cc, 60 lb/hr or larger injectors.
Sensor Options
- Standard Sensor: A good fit for stock and mildly upgraded fuel systems. It provides accurate ethanol-content readings for the ProFlex Commander.
- E-SENSE Sensor: Built for higher-flow fuel systems and higher-horsepower applications. It also adds fuel-temperature monitoring and additional live data through the ProFlex Connect app.
How the ProFlex Commander Works
The ProFlex Commander uses Advanced Fuel Dynamics’ BlendSense technology to monitor ethanol content with a 30-millisecond refresh rate. Injector operation is adjusted automatically, whether the tank contains pump gas, E85 or a blend of the two.
The system works with the factory tune or a compatible performance gasoline tune. It also includes Cold Start Plus to help with cold starts when running higher ethanol blends.

Important Fuel System Requirement
The factory injectors do not have enough capacity to safely run full E85 on either version of the 4.6L Mustang GT. Upgrade the injectors before filling the car with full E85. Advanced Fuel Dynamics recommends 42 lb Ford Racing injectors.
Modified and higher-horsepower cars may also require additional fuel-system upgrades. Make sure the injectors, fuel pump, lines and other fuel-system components have enough capacity and are compatible with ethanol.
Emissions Information
The ProFlex Commander does not remove or replace emissions equipment. It reads the ethanol content in the fuel and electronically adjusts injector operation so the engine can run gasoline, E85 or any mixture of the two.
Advanced Fuel Dynamics does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for this kit. California emissions compliance will depend on the vehicle, engine and approval status of the complete setup.

- Choose the Standard Commander for a naturally aspirated or lightly modified car.
- Choose the Commander Pro for forced-induction builds or injectors rated at 600cc, 60 lb/hr or larger.
- Choose the sensor that matches the fuel flow and monitoring needs of your build.
- Upgrade the injectors before running full E85.
- The ProFlex Commander manages changing ethanol content, but it does not replace the proper engine calibration needed for major modifications or forced induction.
