Run gasoline, E85 or any mix of the two in your Gen 3 HEMI swap without draining the tank or switching between fuel maps. The Advanced Fuel Dynamics ProFlex Commander reads the ethanol content in the fuel and adjusts injector control in real time, giving your swapped HEMI true flex-fuel capability.
This kit is made for 5.7L, 6.1L, 6.2L and 6.4L Gen 3 HEMI crate engines installed in a non-native chassis. It includes the swap-specific wiring harness, flex-fuel sensor and extra-long fuel lines needed to work with a custom engine-swap layout.
Advanced Fuel Dynamics reports a 7 to 10 percent increase in wheel horsepower and torque when running E85. Their tested 6.4L Apache gained more than 28 wheel horsepower and 31 lb-ft of torque compared with 93-octane gasoline. Actual gains will depend on the engine, fuel blend and rest of the setup.

Fitment Notes
- Made for Gen 3 HEMI engines installed in a non-native chassis.
- Vehicle years do not apply because this is an engine-swap application.
- Compatible with OE-style ECUs and PCMs used to control the swapped engine.
- This is not the correct kit for a HEMI that remains in its original Charger, Challenger, Chrysler 300, Ram, Durango, Grand Cherokee or Wrangler application.
- No additional flex-fuel tune is required. The swap still needs the correct base calibration for its engine, injectors and other hardware.
- Engines with forced induction may require larger injectors and additional fuel-system upgrades.
Choose Your ProFlex Commander
- Standard Commander: Made for naturally aspirated, stock or lightly modified engines using factory-size injectors.
- Commander Pro: Go with the Pro version if the engine is turbocharged, supercharged or using injectors rated at 600cc / 60 lb/hr or larger. It provides more precise control over larger injectors.
Choose Your Fuel Sensor
- Standard Sensor: The right option for most stock or mildly modified fuel systems. It provides the ethanol-content reading needed by the ProFlex Commander.
- E-Sense Sensor: Made for modified, higher-flow fuel systems. It adds additional flow capacity, fuel-temperature monitoring and more sensor data through the ProFlex Connect app.
Emissions Information
The ProFlex Commander does not remove or replace emissions equipment. It reads the ethanol content in the fuel and electronically adjusts injector operation so the engine can run gasoline, E85 or any mixture of the two.
Advanced Fuel Dynamics does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for this kit. California emissions compliance will also depend on the engine, chassis and approval status of the complete HEMI swap.

ProFlex Connect App
The free ProFlex Connect app lets you check the current ethanol percentage from your phone, run system diagnostics and look for nearby E85 stations. It connects to the Commander through Bluetooth and is available for iOS and Android.

Installation
The module connects to the HEMI injector harness, while the ethanol sensor and supplied fuel lines are installed in the fuel-feed system. Advanced Fuel Dynamics estimates installation at under an hour with common tools when the swap uses the expected injector connectors and fuel-line arrangement.
Custom engine swaps can have very different fuel tanks, pumps, lines and regulators. Make sure every part of the existing fuel system is compatible with ethanol and can supply enough fuel for the engine’s power level.
Pairs Well With
- AEM 50-1200 340LPH E85-Compatible Fuel Pump - E85 requires more fuel volume than gasoline. This universal pump can support a custom HEMI-swap fuel system when the existing pump is not large enough, but the hanger, wiring and inlet arrangement need to be checked.
- BBK 85mm Cable-Drive Throttle Body for HEMI Swaps - This gives a 5.7L, 6.1L or 6.4L HEMI swap a cable-operated throttle body, which can simplify the throttle setup in an older chassis.
- BBK High-Flow Fuel Rails for 5.7L / 6.1L HEMI - These rails make sense for a compatible 5.7L or 6.1L build using larger injectors and factory-style intake-manifold fitment. They are not a blanket fit for every Gen 3 HEMI swap.

Advanced Fuel Dynamics builds flex-fuel systems around the fact that pump E85 does not always contain the same percentage of ethanol.
