Run gasoline, E85 or any mix of the two in your 2011–2017 Mustang GT without loading a different tune every time the fuel changes. The Advanced Fuel Dynamics ProFlex Commander reads the actual ethanol content in the tank and adjusts injector operation in real time, so the fuel delivery follows the blend you are actually running.
This matters because pump E85 is not always 85% ethanol. Advanced Fuel Dynamics reports 7–10% more wheel horsepower and torque on E85. Its test Mustang gained as much as 20 wheel horsepower between 4,500 and 6,500 RPM.

Fitment Note
This ProFlex Commander is for the port-injected 5.0L Coyote used in the listed Mustang GT models. Advanced Fuel Dynamics does not list this system for the Boss 302.
It is not compatible with the direct-injection 5.0L Coyote used in 2018 and newer Mustang GT models. Those cars require the Advanced Fuel Dynamics ProFlex DX system.
Commander Options
- Standard Commander: Recommended for stock or lightly modified naturally aspirated Mustangs using factory-size fuel injectors.
- Commander Pro: Recommended for turbocharged or supercharged builds and cars using 600cc, 60 lb/hr or larger fuel injectors. The Pro version provides more precise control over larger injectors and can support additional fuel-system upgrades.
Fuel Sensor Options
- Standard Sensor: A good choice for stock and mildly modified fuel systems. It provides accurate ethanol-content readings for daily driving and naturally aspirated performance builds.
- E-SENSE Sensor: A higher-flow sensor designed for modified fuel systems and higher-horsepower builds. It also adds fuel-temperature monitoring and additional real-time information through the ProFlex Connect app.
How the ProFlex Commander Works
The ProFlex Commander measures the ethanol content in the fuel and electronically adjusts injector operation for the current blend. You can fill the car with pump gas, E85 or any mixture of the two without pushing buttons or changing maps.
BlendSense technology updates every 30 milliseconds as the ethanol percentage changes. The ProFlex Connect app also lets you check the current ethanol content from an Apple or Android phone.

Emissions Information
The ProFlex Commander does not remove or replace emissions equipment. It reads the ethanol content in the fuel and electronically adjusts injector operation so the engine can run gasoline, E85 or any mixture of the two.
Advanced Fuel Dynamics does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for this kit. California emissions compliance will also depend on the engine, chassis and approval status of the complete Mustang setup.

- This system fits 2011–2017 Mustang GT 5.0L models only.
- Choose the Standard Commander for a stock or lightly modified naturally aspirated car.
- Choose Commander Pro for forced induction or 600cc, 60 lb/hr and larger injectors.
- Choose the Standard Sensor for a stock or mildly modified fuel system.
- Choose the E-SENSE Sensor for a modified or higher-flow fuel system.
- E85 requires more fuel volume than gasoline. Confirm that the fuel pump and injectors can support the car’s modifications and intended power level.
- A performance gasoline tune is compatible, but this system should not be combined with a fixed-map E85 tune.
