Fitment Note: This skid plate assembly fits all trim levels of the 6th generation Toyota 4Runner across both gas and i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrains. The non-hybrid and hybrid variants use different rear plate mounting holes during installation, which is called out in the included installation guide. Do not use this skid plate as a jacking point unless the included billet jacking blocks are installed first. Bolt torque spec: 21 ft-lbs / 29 Nm. All necessary mounting hardware included.

Most aftermarket skid plates for this platform cover the engine only. The NYTOP assembly covers both engine and transmission in a single 3-piece modular setup, which matters on trail use where the transmission crossmember is just as exposed as the oil pan. The modular design means you can pull individual sections for maintenance without removing the whole plate. At 43 lbs in 1/4-inch aluminum, it's light enough that one person can manage the install without a lift. The billet jacking blocks are worth calling out specifically — the plate is not rated as a jacking surface unless those blocks are installed first, which is a detail that trips people up on the first oil change.
