- Note: Retains factory muffler. No cutting or welding required
- Note: Installation requires jacking the rear of the truck and lowering the spare tire for access
Fitment Note: This trail pipe fits all 4th generation Toyota Tacoma trim levels across gas and i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrains. It replaces the factory rear tailpipe section only and retains the factory muffler. The spare tire must be lowered during installation for access to the factory exhaust hardware. Factory nuts are reused at the stock flange. Approximately 15-30 minutes to install with basic hand tools.

- Design inspired by the OEM Trailhunter trail pipe for proven clearance routing
- Retains factory muffler, near-stock exterior and interior sound levels
- Slight increase in resonant tone at low RPM and during turbo spool, particularly noticeable off-road and during low-speed high-load situations. Returns to near-stock sound at highway cruise
- Direct bolt-on, factory nuts reused, no cutting or welding required
- Fits gas and i-FORCE MAX hybrid Tacoma models
The factory Tacoma tailpipe hangs below the rear axle and is one of the more vulnerable points on the truck on trail use. The SXTH trail pipe reroutes the exit up and over the axle in the same configuration Toyota uses on the Trailhunter from the factory. Clearance improvement is real — the exhaust now dumps before and above the rear axle rather than below it. Sound stays close to stock since the factory muffler stays in place. There is a low-RPM resonant tone increase that shows up during turbo spool and at low speeds under load, which is worth knowing before you install it. It settles back down at highway cruise. The spare tire needs to come down for access during installation, which adds a step but the whole job is still under 30 minutes.
